Fragments of a Dream Unremembered

Fragments of a Dream Unremembered, 2026

Mixed Media Sculpture

2 ft x 4 ft

This piece explores the space between longing and uncertainty — the feeling of reaching toward something that exists just beyond the edges of clarity. Constructed from layered acrylic panels, mirrored surfaces, frost spray, and textured modeling paste, the work evokes the fragmented nature of dreams and memories: glimpses of something familiar, distorted by time, emotion, and distance.
Reflective and obscured elements coexist, creating a shifting visual experience that feels both tangible and elusive. The surfaces reveal and conceal in equal measure, mirroring the experience of pursuing a desire that feels close enough to imagine but remains difficult to define or attain.
Like a dream recalled moments after waking, the image resists a single interpretation. What remains is not a clear picture, but a feeling — the quiet tension of knowing what you want without being able to fully see it, and the persistent pull of something that feels almost within reach.
